This was one of my favourite parts of any episode in Glee. It speaks multitudes for anybody, not just an abuse survivor. We are all strong enough, we all deserve to love ourselves, be happy, and live. Remember, that voice, the voice that says “Who is going to love you now,” can be anything- your violent and abusive partner, your anorexia, bulimia, ednos, or binge eating voice, your low self esteem, the voice that tells you you need to harm yourself, your parents or even your best friend.
Tell that voice, that YOU are going to love yourself, and keep telling it until you, and that voice, finally believe it.
I love you.
I don’t even watch Glee, but I love love love this. It gave me goosebumps before I even read the OP’s description underneath and I didn’t even know where it was from. It just hits a soft spot in my life right now.
